Amy Graves was born in Washington D.C. She has worked as full-time freelance photographer based in Los Angeles, CA since 2000 primarily covering events. Prior to that time she worked as a photographer’s assistant and fine art photographer showing work in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago for 8 years.

Editorial publications and outlets she has worked for include Vogue, In Style, ElleGirl, Elle, Teen Vogue, W, People, L.A. Confidential, Hollywood Reporter, Fashion Wire Daily and The Book Los Angeles. Her photographs have been published in the Fete Accompli! The Ultimate Guide to Creative Entertaining books series.

Corporate clients she has worked for include McDonalds, Visa, Crate and Barrel, Ralph Lauren, David Yurman, The Platinum Guild, ArcLight Cinemas, Laguna Design Center and GNC Nutritional Center.

She has been a contributing photographer to WireImage since 2002 and previously worked as a staff photographer at Globe Photos.

Amy Graves holds a B.A. in English/History from University of Virginia, a B.F.A. from The Art Institute of Chicago and a Certificate in Film from New York University. Additionally she attended the photo program at Santa Monica Community College, CA and the Slade School of Art, University of London, U.K. She currently resides in Hollywood, CA.
